The Heart Care Mentors are volunteers from the Isle of Wight

Heart Care Club working together with the NHS to help cardiac

patients and their carers through encouragement and support

in their journey toward recovery and rehabilitation.

Their aim is to support those who, through a heart event, may

feel anxious and vulnerable.

 

Carers of Cardiac patients may also have special needs as
they are perhaps suddenly and unexpectedly required to take

on a role for which they may feel unprepared.

Heart Care Mentors aim to promote positive recovery by

encouraging clients to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to provide 

opportunities for social contact and supervised exercise.
